Known risks associated with high exposure

highly toxic to birds, bees and mammals, symptoms include: Muscle twitching, weakness, tremor, incoordination, sweating, salivation, headache, dizziness, nausea through to vomiting, cramps, diarrhea and more serious effects through to seizures, loss of consciousness.

Wiping is best for indoor pesticides
Sections of ceramic tile, hardwood flooring, vinyl tile and low-pile carpet were sprayed uniformly with one of several pesticide sprays containing chlorpyrifos, MALATHION, fipronil, permethrin, cyfluthrin, cypermethrin and deltamethrin as active ingredients.

POOR storage continues to be potentially a weak link for quality in the cereal supply chain.
The second driver, says Mr Cook, is the continuing loss of insecticide products available for use in grain stores. MALATHION (co-formulated with bifenthrin in Prostore) has recently failed to achieve Annex 1 listing, leaving pirimiphos-methyl (Actellic/ Fumite) and chlorpyrifos-methyl (Reldan) as the remaining surface application or admixed chemical options for storage pest control. Fumigation options have been limited to phosphine following the withdrawal of methyl bromide.

Study links asthma to pesticide use
The pesticides that were found to have increased the prevalence of non-allergic asthma included DDT, which is now prohibited in the US, as well as phorate, which is rarely used, and two commonly applied materials: MALATHION and petroleum oil herbicide. Only MALATHION has approval for use in the UK and this has recently been revoked.
