Of the class pyrethroid,
it is a synthetic pyrethroid insecticide

Crops / products generally treated with this product
It is a general use pesticide used on soft fruits such
as grapes and strawberries, vegetables, ornamental plants
and turf grass.
Used for broad spectrum control in restuarants and commercial
food handling facilities.

Used to control
Insecticide for agricultural use. Also used around buildings
and ornamental plants. Exetnsively used in the domestic
environment.
Mothproofing used on such as textiles and carpets.
Crawling, flying and wood infesting insects.

Known risks associated with high exposure
Acutely toxic
to bees and fish. Residues implied in adverse effects
on pond life - algae, zooplankton, nematodes. |

Other information
Acute exposure can result in stinging skin, lowered
blood pressure, laboured breathing. Chronic exposure
has resulted in weight loss, kidney inflammation and
lowered body temperature.
Half life of between 23 to 114 weeks
|

A synthetic pyrethroid - an analog of a naturally occuring
pyrethrin. These synthetics have a high potency, greater
than naturally occuring insecticides but are considered
of low risk to mamals. They are also less degraded by
sun light.
It is a neurotoxin with a similar action to ddt (an
organochlorine)
