Endrin

Of the class organochlorine, it is an insecticide (sometimes used as a rodenticide)

Chemical name:1,2,3,4,10,10-hexachloro-6,7-epoxy-1,4,4a,5,6,7,8,8a-octahydro-exo-1,4-exo-5,8-dimethanonaphthalene

Endrin is a stereoisomer of dieldrin and is structurally similar to aldrin, and heptachlor epoxide.

High risk of bioaccumulation, very toxic to fish, phytoplankton and invertebrates. Acute poisoning affects nerve system

soluble in benzene and acetone, used as dust, as paste, degrades when exposed to sunlight isomerized to ketoendrin.
