low toxicity though regular open pouring is considered unacceptable (banned by EPA)

Other information

Slow degradation, long persistence in aquatic conditions. Effectively non toxic to birds, moderate toxicity to fish, slight toxicity to invertebrates though highly toxic with acute exposure. Low risk as usage patterns do not imply exposure to waterways.

sold as a soluble concentrate or liquid. Systems due to be treated should be pre-cleaned prior to treatment. There is a prohibition (US) against discharging terbuthylazine treated effluent into the sewage system without prior notice to the treatment authority.
